Twenty Nominations for Series Including THE VALIANT, THE DEATH-DEFYING DOCTOR MIRAGE, RAI, and More

The nominations are in for the 2015 Harvey Awards…and Valiant is leading the ballot as the most nominated publisher of the year!

With 20 nominations across a variety of titles in nearly every eligible category, Valiant is honored to announce its status as the single most nominated comic book publisher of the 2015 Harvey Awards. The nominations span some of the past year’s most acclaimed ongoing and limited series debuts, including THE VALIANT by Jeff Lemire, Matt Kindt, Paolo Rivera and Joe Rivera; THE DEATH-DEFYING DR. MIRAGE by Jen Van Meter, Roberto de la Torre, and David Baron; ARMOR HUNTERS by Robert Venditti, Doug Braithwaite, and Laura Martin; and RAI by Matt Kindt and Clayton Crain; as well as select backlist titles, such as THE COMPLETE QUANTUM AND WOODY CLASSIC OMNIBUS – the first-ever comprehensive collection of Christopher Priest and MD Bright’s groundbreaking superhero series; and many more.

Named in honor of the late Harvey Kurtzman, one of the industry’s most innovative talents, the Harvey Awards recognize outstanding work in comics and sequential art. They will be presented September 26, 2015 in Baltimore, MD, in conjunction with the Baltimore Comic-Con.

Nominations for the Harvey Awards are selected exclusively by creators – those who write, draw, ink, letter, color, design, edit, or are otherwise involved in a creative capacity in the comics field. They are the only industry awards both nominated and selected by the full body of comic book professionals.
